Where to Start Managing Your Debt
If you are like so many other Americans, your debt has begun to take over your world. It consumes your thoughts, your dreams and even your ability to focus on anything else. Credit card debt can be the hardest to deal with because of the never ending phone calls at all hours of the day and night. You are feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to even start to pull it all together again.
Life doesn’t have to be this hard! You need to stop, take a deep breath, clear your mind and allow yourself to relax a moment. It is extremely tough to think of how to begin when you are stuck focusing on fears and stress. Finding positive steps can seem impossible when your thoughts are consumed with negatives. The old saying “Can’t see the forest through the trees” is quite appropriate here! You are so concerned with each individual bill, amount and lack of funds that you can’t see the bigger picture.
The bigger picture is that there are positives in your life that you can choose to focus on. Clear you head for a second and allow your thoughts to wander to positive things in your life. These can be people, such as family and friends, experiences such as laughter and fun events, and even the simplest of things like the sun shining into your window. Whatever it is that brings you peace, happiness and allows you to feel thankful, focus on that for a few moments.
You will find that when you allow yourself to focus on things, events, people that make you happy your entire body relaxes. When you take the focus off of the negatives in your life, in this case debt, you open up the possibilities of welcoming answers and paths you may have missed otherwise. Your focus on the positive actually acts like a magnet to attractive more positive thoughts and events into your life. The law of attraction kicks into high gear!
The more often you can remove your focus from the debt the easier it becomes. It isn’t easy, but nothing truly worthwhile is easy. It takes patience and practice, but once you experience the benefits you will understand the power behind positive thinking.
Once you are focused on the positive you can make clear decisions that will point you in the right direction. Making decisions based upon fear and stress invariably does just the opposite. Hiding from the debt, allowing it to fester in your mind only increases the burden. If you feel less stress you can choose to call the creditors and try to work out arrangements. You can see clearly where cuts need to be made in your budget and act accordingly. You can do positive things that will lead to positive outcomes.
Focus on the blessings in your life and you will naturally attract more blessings. Focus on debt and you will naturally attract more debt. You can learn more about using the law of attraction to manage your debt and increase wealth here: The Law of Attraction
