Asking for Money
Money is such a taboo subject in our homes these days. So it comes as no surprise that asking for money can be a big stress factor. It doesn’t have to be however. When your hurting for some financial help its best to know where to go. Going to your friends and family should be the last option in my honest opinion.
If you have any embarrassment about asking for money, I’d like you to get over it right now. Everyone in life goes through some kind of pinch be it finances or otherwise. So just get over it. Take a deep breath and start asking for some money.
You should first look in the direction of your local government. Many states and cities have programs where they can give you emergency cash. I find it funny that this tends to be the last place people go to when seeking financial support when it should be the first. The government is here to support its people.
Another place you should check out is your local church. They too often have cash available for emergency purposes, or at least some kind of resource for someone in financial need. It doesn’t hurt to ask.
Ultimately I think the biggest problem that people have when asking for money is the stigma that comes up from asking for help. This is just nonsense. We aren’t here to burden our problems alone. Their are plenty of organizations and people willing to help if you were to find yourself in a financial pinch. You won’t ever know unless you ask. =)
