Are There Really Easy Jobs?
There are people out there that get paid to stand by and watch a machine run. Other people get paid to taste test candy bars all day. These are just a couple of the easiest jobs out there today. Well, at least they appear easy on the surface.
When considering what qualifies as an easy job, one must also think about how the person doing this “easy job” feels about it. Take for example the person that taste tests candy bars all day, sounds like a pretty easy job to most of us, but to the person doing that job, it isn’t so easy. Odds are pretty good that they started that job because it seemed easy and they liked candy bars. After a while of doing it, do you think they still have that love of candy bars? Probably not. What appears easy on the surface, often times is much more difficult if you look deeper.
Another seemingly easy job would be working on an assembly line wherein you simply put a part into a machine and watch it go. Sounds simple right? But the reality is you are on your feet all day, your breaks are brief and should anything go wrong with that machine you better know how to fix it!
What seems easy to one may feel very difficult to someone else. One career that some would consider an easy job is daycare. Some think, how hard could it be to play with kids all day. Well those of you that are moms, or have done daycare of any kind would seriously disagree that this falls into the easy job category!
The key to finding an easy job is to determine what would be EASY for you! If you love to sew for example, maybe being a seamstress or someone who does alterations would seem like an easy job because you know how to do it and you enjoy it. Whereas someone who has no idea how to sew or has absolutely no desire to learn how to sew would find that to be a very difficult job.
The answer to the question, “Are there really easy jobs?” is yes. Some jobs would be very easy for you, but not everyone else. Finding your passion, determining what comes easy to you, is the best way to find and keep an easy job.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that someone else has an easy job, because unless you walk a day in their shoes, you have no idea how tough that job may be for you!
Even jobs that everyone would agree are considered easy jobs, such as being the person that collects money at the parking garage, aren’t as easy as they seem. Those parking attendants are in cramped quarters, have to deal with the public including those in bad moods or are simply rude, and have to deal with the elements and bad weather all day.
Make your job and easy job, by enjoying what you do, doing your very best at it and being grateful for being employed at all! It’s more about a state of mind rather than the actual job duties. Even those that are considered really tough jobs can be made to look easy, if the people doing them really love what they do.
